Central Utah Orem Water Storage Reservoir

1120 East Cascade Drive
Orem UT, 84097

The largest post tensioned and circumferentially pre-stressed storage reservoir in Utah was built as a joint venture with W.W. Clyde & Co. Also included were 6 meter and valve vaults and other hydraulic structures that provides the existing water treatment plant with the ability to isolate and control their existing systems with the new transmission pipelines and reservoir. Several connections and activities required close coordination with Central Utah Water and Orem City for completion during low water demand or annual plant maintenance shutdowns. Extensive earth shoring was required around extremely sensitive existing aqueducts and structures. A partnering charter was established at the inception. Several shared saving value-engineering proposals were implemented to allow additional facilities to be built.

Evanston Water Treatment Plant

266 Ortega Ct.
Evanston, WY 82930

The new treatment building houses two separate pretreatment trains consisting of rapid mixing, three-stage tapered horizontal flocculation, high-rate sedimentation utilizing inclined plate settlers, gravity filtration, chemical storage and feed facilities, offices/administration facilities,  and bathrooms. Separate structures were required for ultraviolet light disinfection and an emergency generator.  In addition, upgrades were required to the existing treatment facility. This expansion more than doubled the output of the plant.
